Arranging a Personal Branding photoshoot can be daunting
For lots of reasons. Partly because most of us don’t like the idea of being photographed. At all. Many of us would rather be eaten by a dinosaur!! But that’s not what I mean. Scheduling your personal branding photoshoot, or even contacting a personal branding photographer for the first time is making a statement.
It’s you stepping into a space that you want to occupy and telling the world that you’re taking this seriously. That you’re investing in your business. That you mean business.
That can be scary. We fear being judged. More than that, we know we’re being judged (discussed in my last blog). We wonder what others will think. Imposter syndrome can set in, which can hold us back.
Your personal branding images come with a burst of confidence
Many of my clients go into their sessions passionate, excited and a bit nervous but mostly it’s driven by a need to ‘tick-a-box’ as they’re having a new website built and know they need professional images for it to look as slick as they desire. Maybe their web designer recommended it - most do.
What nobody anticipates and invariably happens comes after their photoshoot. The session is likely to have been lots of fun and they’re feeling excited to see the finished, fully edited results.
Seeing yourself as your best business you is powerful
Seeing your images, created to tell the story of your brand for the first time is a really powerful feeling. You’re seeing yourself through someone else eyes, as the best version of your business self. This is the power of your branding photographs, this is how your clients will see you.
It isn’t, or certainly shouldn’t be, about creating a false reality. This is about you being you, stepping into the space you want to occupy and owning it. You get to SHOW your target clients why you’re made for each other. They’ll feel the connection when they see themselves in your ‘working with me’ images.
They’ll feel you’re inside their head when you are able to show them how you help clients exactly like them.
Personal branding photographs increasing your lead flow?
Anyone that’s been following me for a while would know to expect this, but for those that hadn’t, the icing on the cake after a seriously good personal branding photoshoot is the increase in enquiries.
That shouldn’t be a surprise as it’s surely the goal from our marketing activities, but it sometimes is!
Combining on-brand images that tell your story to your dream clients, helping them understand why they NEED you with your new empowered mindset is potent stuff. Remember I said the majority of my clients have a marked increase in their confidence levels after our photoshoot? This confidence allows you to attack your marketing with renewed vigour. You’ll also be more active online as you’ll want to show off your new images! You’ll be telling your story as well as showing it.
Increased confidence, increased activity, laser-focussed messages and on-point imagery. This is where the goals start to become reality.
