There are a few options for photographers offering personal branding and headshots in Bristol, but what does it all mean and are the terms interchangeable?
No. Not at all. Let me elaborate.
This is your traditional killer headshot.
It may or may not be branded.
It just shows the very best version of the business you
This is your social media profile picture. The first picture on your website. On your business card, flyer, posters, email signature, in your media pack, etc. A series of headhshots incorporating different ‘looks’ (both outfit and pose) are popular as a starting option.
These are very similar to business headshots and the terms could be considered interchangeable to a greater extent.
Some like to think of a headshot as more formal and corporate and business portraits as more relaxed, but essentially they’re the same thing.
Lifestyle business images
These are not personal branding. Unless you’re an Instagram influencer selling your lifestyle they’re not able to #bringyourbrandtolife as the visual markers just aren’t there.
That’s not to say you can’t use them in your business, you just need to know that this isn’t branding. I offer them to my clients who want to keep their social media feeds fresh, I just make it clear that on the whole, they’re not going to help with your brand recognition.
Personal branding sessions
This is when everything is about your brand. You know what you brand is. You know who its for and you know why your clients need you.
We work together to ensure that we incorporate your brand messaging throughout your session so that you end up a with a bank of images that tell your story and help your clients get to know, like and trust you.
These sessions are ideal when you’re building your website as I can work with your copyrighter and web designer to ensure that your website converts your browsers into enquiries!
These sessions have the highest financial and time investment and also offer the highest return for service based businesses. Whether you also sell a physical product or not.
I hope that helped but if you have any queries, please do give me a call or drop me a line, I love to get to know new business owners and hear all about what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.
